Amara had been waiting for this moment for what felt like ages. Her time to fight had finally come, and as she strapped Lacrimosa to her arms and legs, her mind wandered to her opponent. She didn't really know the people from Syne Academy, most likely due to how isolated the school was from the rest of the world. Perhaps being so alienated would make them tougher adversaries in the days to come. After equipping her weapons properly, Amara hastily made her way to the arena floor. Half forest, half rocky mountain. The sight of their intended battlefield produced a devilish grin on the girl's face. Back in Mistral, such areas were commonplace. As far as Amara was concerned, this fight was going to be a piece of cake. Her off-colored eyes scanned the arena, looking out to the spectators that filled Amity Colosseum's many seats. Seeing so many people was a little nerve-racking, but at the same time served to inflate Amara's already massive ego. As leader of Team RRAV, she was sure to show that she earned her place. Taking her position in the arena, Amara took one more look around, waving at the audience - and occasionally winking flirtatiously at some of the young men in the audience. Gotta have a little fun before a fight, right? The grin remained on her face as people waved back, every so often accompanied by whistles and cat-calls from admirers from home. Amity was nice, the people of Syne and Bellmuse seemed nice. Deep down, Amara hoped that beating the snot out of her opponent wouldn't lead to ill feelings between the two of them - or even the two schools. As her weapons activated, the gauntlets of Lacrimosa took their place over her forearms and hands, while the boots grew to cover almost up to her knees. She was ready to fight, now more than ever. Hopefully the girl from Syne would provide the challenge she had been waiting for all her life. Hopefully.[OOC: Here is Amara's app for reference.]

Sitting in the waiting room the raven hair girl just stared at the wall as she waited. She was still wracking her brain as to why she was really here. She wasn't the best fighter of Syne compared to the others she came with here. Still, even with that thought clear in her mind, she couldn't keep her smile hidden. She had always been a daredevil and facing off against someone stronger than herself was just the sort of thing to get her heart racing. Hearing the call sigh the Layla stood, giving her armor and outfit one more look over before walking toward the door. Resting her hand on the handle of her rapier she walked into the arena. It seemed her opponent was already out receiving cheers from the audience. She could hardly hear herself think thanks to her damn bat ears, but thankfully it was something she gotten used to long ago. With the roar of the crowd finally dying she could hear them once more come alive as she stepped out into the light. It seems a some of her fans had come as well as she could hear the word "Queen" from time to time.
Layla would rather not encourage this nickname anymore than needed, but it did help her feel more at ease. As if she was once again back on stage, but now her guitar is replaced with a sword. Stopping on her side of the arena she gave in at last as she pumped a fist into the air and yelled out to the crowds. "YOU GUYS READY TO ROCK!??" Causing another eruption from fans and other alike as it seemed everyone was hungry for a show. At the very least she needed to put on a strong front if for nothing more then not appear weak. "Let's give them a good show. Yeah?" She said Flashing the girl before her a fangy grin as she tied her hair back into a ponytail. Behind the grin, she was in a bit of a panic while looking around. She was hoping for more of an extreme setup than this. Sadly this was rather common with forest and rocky setting, but still maybe she could still use it to her advantage. Using what little time she had left Layla study the girl across from her as it seemed she was melee fighter judging from the gauntlets and boots. It made her really wish she had some range beside her wind dust. Still she had to be careful here as she didn't know what else that thing could, if anything at all.
Drawing her sword and taking her stance she waited for the start of the match. With the suddenly buzz to begin the match Layla only smiled before suddenly turning and dashing across the bit of the middle ground as she ran toward the rocky mountain half. She didn't want to take this person on in a head to head fight, not with her four weapons aginst her one. Keeping an eye on the girl in the case of any ranged attack before jumping up and spinning in the air as she slashes backward with her sword sending a small wind slash back at Amara before she landed on one of the rocks closest to the base of the mountain. "Time for a bit of hiding and seek love!" She called out before dropping down behind the rock and at last used her semblance to float atop the ground as she speeds between the rocks without a sound as she worked her way up.
(Hope it alright I started the match, wasn't really sure if we did it or not X3)

Amara smirked gleefully as her eyes settled on her opponent. Seemed like a good kid, certainly one of those that liked to put on a good show. Awesome, if that’s what she wanted to do, then that’s what they’d do. Amara would never pass up the chance to entertain people. Watching her opponent’s interaction with the spectators, she crossed her arms and retained the smirk on her face. This was going to be a lot of fun, she could tell. As the countdown for the battle to begin started, Amara stretched her arms high over her head before leaning forward to stretch her legs. There was a pleasant pop from her joints, which were euphoric to be the least. Last but not least, Amara cracked her neck before taking a ready stance.
When the buzzer finally sounded, the girl she was to fight against turned and high-tailed it to the mountainous area of the arena. Amara wasn’t going to let her get away that easily - this was her element. With a devious laugh, Amara chased after the girl, using small bursts of the Dust in her boots to boost her across the field. The wind slash heading her way, Amara quickly leaned back and slid across the ground, the attack passing just an inch from her face. She eventually found her way into the mountain, where she would use the abundance of cover to her advantage. Her heart raced a little, but despite that, she had yet to break a sweat. This fight, in her mind, was going to be a piece of cake.
‘You can do it, Mara.’ She said in her mind. ‘Just a couple good smacks, and we’re off to the next round.’
Clenching her fists, Lacrimosa was fully armed and ready to go. This was her element, and she wouldn’t let herself be made a fool. Hide and seek was the name of the game, and Amara intended to win. Keeping silent, she began to sneak through the terrain in an attempt to find her opponent. The girl had ended up somewhere near the base of the mountain, but Amara had decided to ignore her in an effort to try and get the high ground. A few seconds of searching and she finally found her mark, climbing her way up the mountain. Dropping down from above, Amara fired off one of the explosive rounds in her boots, intent on delivering a heavy kick to the girl from Syne Academy.
